Frequently Asked Question's

This page will be updated periodically as new questions arise. Last update: 1/6/2023
Can student attendees wear a sheath dress at SLC?
No. Attendees must adhere to the mandatory dress code. In 2023, the dress code allows for red, white, or black polo or oxford-style button-up shirt and black or khaki bottoms only. A skirt may be worn as long as it is no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
If a student is competing in an Online STAR Event, can they also compete in a STAR Event at SLC or Culinary Competition?
No. Due to the time frame of the Online STAR Events, set by National FCCLA, the Top 15 qualifying entries for each Online STAR Event will not be released prior to the SLC registration deadline. Participants competing in an Online STAR Event cannot compete in a STAR Event offered at SLC, but can compete in a state-level event.
How many entries can a chapter submit per event and level?
The number of entries a chapter can submit per event and level will vary based on the event. Please refer to the Chapter Entries Per Event charts found on the SLC Competitive Events page or in the 2023 State Leadership Conference Handbook found here.
