STATE-LEVEL EVENTS
State-Level Competitive Events provide opportunities for members to learn about competitive events on a smaller scale than STAR Events and grow their confidence to compete at future events. These events are specific to our state only, and are not preliminary or pre-requisite to other state or national events.
State-Level Competitive Events are offered during the fall at each of the Fall Leadership Meeting locations and in the spring at the State Leadership Conference.

STAR EVENTS
Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events are Competitive Events in which members compete at the state and national level and are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation. STAR Events allow students to compete individually or as a team. There are more than 30 STAR Events students can choose to compete in, all of which recognize participants who demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
All STAR Events, with the exception of Baking and Pastry and Culinary Arts are held at the State Leadership Conference. Competing in these events at the state-level can qualify members for competition at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference.
