REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION RATE - $50.00 PER ATTENDEE

Affiliation is required to register for this event.
Chaperones, Bus Drivers, and other adult guests attending with the chapter are not required to be affiliated, but are still required to be registered to attend. They can be registered using the 'Register Guests' option.

- student participation in one STAR Event Competitive Event (Baking & Pastry or Culinary Arts)*;
- adviser professional development session (CEU(s) provided);
- and participation in an opportunity to explore the Hospitality and Tourism FCCLA Career Pathway.

There will be two (2) STAR Event competitions held at this event:
These are individual events for students in 11th and 12 grade. Chapters may submit up to three (3) entries per event. Participants may only compete in one (1) event.
Participants should utilize the North Carolina specific event materials to prepare for the event.

HOTEL INFORMATION
A hotel room block has been setup at the Doubletree by Hilton located on the Johnson & Wales University campus. Culinary Competition participants are not required to stay in this hotel room block.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
Full payment on the registration invoice(s) is expected to be made prior to the event, or on-site during event check-in.
Payments not received by February 16, 2024 will incur a $25.00 late payment fee per invoice.

- Mailed Payment - Chapters can mail their payment, along with the invoice(s), to the address listed on the invoice PRIOR to the event date. Verify that the mailing address used for the payment is the correct address.
- Credit Card Payment - Chapters can submit a credit card payment to their invoice(s) in the FCCLA Portal under the 'Invoices' tab. Chapters will have the option to choose the invoice(s) they wish to pay, enter their credit card information, and submit payment. Payment is automatically applied.
- E-Check Payment - Chapters can submit a check payment to their invoice(s) in the FCCLA Portal under the 'Invoices' tab. Chapters can choose the invoice(s) they wish to pay, enter the check and financial institution information, enter a bookkeeper email to receive payment verification, and submit payment. Payment is automatically applied.
- Bookkeeper Payment - Bookkeepers can now pay invoice(s) in the FCCLA Portal using the Bookkeeper login option. Bookkeepers can submit payment by entering the chapter ID # and invoice number to be paid, enter the credit card or check information, and submit payment. Payment is automatically applied to the invoice(s).
- The bookkeeper must complete this process for each separate invoice to pay. At this time, there is not an option to make payments on multiple invoices at once using the bookkeeper login.
- On-Site Payment - Chapters can provide payment on-site at the location they are registered for during check-in. They will be guided through the process of entering a credit card or a check will be notated and mailed on their behalf to National FCCLA for processing.
SUBSTITUTION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event a registered attendee is no longer able to attend, chapters may be able to substitute or cancel their registration. All substitution and/or cancellation requests must be submitted by the deadlines listed below.

On-site changes will not be accommodated for any event to include event registration and competitive event registrations and changes. Advisers are responsible for ensuring accurate event registrations by reviewing event registration rosters and invoices.
SUBSTITUTION AND NAME CHANGE DEADLINE - February 8, 2024
- If finalists are to be determined, substitutions will not be accepted past the posted registration deadline. As finalists will be determined on their personal scores, it will not be permitted for another participant to substitute a finalist and compete based on the finalists individual score.
- If finalists are not to be determined, substitutions may be submitted until the posted deadline above. Substitution requests should match the level category of the person being replaced.
- Substitutions will not be honored after the posted deadline.
CANCELLATION & REFUND REQUEST DEADLINE - February 8, 2024
- Cancellations submitted BEFORE the posted registration deadline (January 31, 2024) will be provided a full refund.
- Cancellations submitted AFTER the posted registration deadline and by February 8, 2024 will receive a full refund, less a $20.00 administrative fee.
- Cancellations received after the posted deadline above will not receive a refund.

EVENT DRESS CODE
MEMBERS
Members attending the event, and competing, must adhere to the dress code as outlined in the event guidelines.
If a member is attending, and not competing, they must adhere to the following guidelines:
Jeans, leggings, pajamas, and athletic wear are not acceptable.
ADULT ATTENDEES

Advisers are expected to review dress code requirements with attendees prior to events, and ensure attendees are in proper dress code while at the event. Attendees will not be permitted to receive on-stage recognition if they are not in adherence to the proper dress code.
