OVERVIEWThe state Board of Directors is the legal governing body of North Carolina Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. NC FCCLA's Board of Directors is comprised of three (3) youth members, one (1) Alumni & Associates member, two (2) business and industry representatives elected by the board, one (1) college & university educator elected by the board, the immediate past president of the board, and at least four (4) active advisers elected by their peers at the State Leadership Conference, one (1) NCACTE Administration Division representative, one (1) FCS professional organization representative from either NCACTE FCS Division or NCAFCS, and two (2) DPI FSC Education Consultant(s).
The primary functions of the board shall be to set policy relating to program fiscal matters and to be responsible for sound management. The state Executive Director shall be the administrator of the organization. The board receives and acts upon the recommendations of the state Executive Director relative to the management of programs and fiscal matters. The state Executive Director also serves on the Board of Directors but does not have the power to cast a vote. DIRECTORYBOARD CHAIR
